You might be thinking to yourself, "Get Known? Why did he put that on his site?" It's there because I know that advertising, with the use of good design, is the only way to "get known" effectively. In this site you will find a collection of my design work, as well as some programming and photography work, from the past few years. But, it does say "Know Me" at the top of the page, so here we go.

I am 40 years of age and a graduate of the University of South Alabama in Mobile. I graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Graphic Design and a minor in painting. I became interested in art my senior year of high school, though I'm sure my art teacher would disagree. After the Mechanical Engineering thing didn't work out my first year, I went back to art; specifically graphic design. I quickly became moved by the works of artists such as M.C. Escher, Salvador Dali and Hans Werner Sahm. Like them, I believe the key to good design is based strongly on a well defined structure. I incorporate this idea into all of my design work, giving the client collateral that will best represent their business.

I currently reside in Mobile, Alabama where I have worked for a design firm, an engineering firm and several web based site and application development companies, as well as the financial industry. I most recently worked with New Horizons Credit Union as their Director of Marketing and Business Development. Working at NHCU, I was able to hone my marketing and business development skills while getting back to my designer roots, as I created all manner of marketing materials for them.

I was also employed for two years at a small design firm, Advertising Depot, as their Senior Graphic Designer. Working here gave me a lot of real world experience in the design field before graduating college. I also learned more about composition and light theory, in addition to further developing my photography skills, from Dr. David Wagner, a former professor of photography at the Bowling Green University.
